Entry Point: Plenty Railway Bridge rapid (from Glenora Road, B62). Climb over the gate (not over the fence) and enter the water at the base of the rapid (Grid ref. DN 988 662).
Exit Point: Downstream from Bryn Estyn (Metropolitan Water Board). Right bank, well down from the water inlet to avoid disturbing the river bank or bottom and polluting the intake water (Grid ref. EN 098 648)  or continue downstream another 2 km to New Norfolk.
Water Level: Any level.
Tasmap: 1:100 000 Tyenna; 1:100 000 Derwent. 
Shuttle:  3.7 km.
General Description: An ideal trip for beginners, small grade 1 rapids with good well defined eddies. Beware of the current sweeping under the willows on corners, particularly on some of the rapids. Stay well away from willow trees.
