Take your scuba gear as this river has been flooded You can still paddle the King River Gorge when the dam is spiling and there is a potential summer trip on the King from the Power Station down to Teepokana-Strahan on the power station flow. Maybe a good DR run.

|General Description: The first couple of kilometres have a lot of trees in the river. After them it is all clear going with small grade 1-2 rapids. There is one tricky rapid towards the end which consists of a narrow channel with a small stopper at the bottom. The strength of the stopper depends on water level.|
